An Introduction to the Birds of Tropical America


Kingfishers and Motmots are in the same order, Coraciiformes, along with Todies and some Asian families. Six species of Kingfisher are found in the Americas, and dozens more around the world. Kingfishers dive from a perch to catch small fish.
