Blackbirds include the colorful black and yellow orioles, large vocal oropendolas, and a lot of species of mostly black birds with pointed bills.

There are many species of oriole, almost all yellow and black, with slight differences in placement of those colors.

Grackles make regular stick nests, unlike the oropendolas and caciques who make weaved hanging nests.
